In the Dominican Republic, they have their own version of the succubus, La Ciguapa.
La Ciguapa could be an individual, or a species. She lives high up in the mountains, and is described as a beautiful woman, with backwards facing feet, brown or blue skin, and long glossy hair that covers her body. She's always nude, because when you're a temptress, clothing isn't necessary.
La Ciguapa waits for lost and lonely men to pass by the cave she lives in. She'll approach them, offering them companionship and a place to stay. If they fall for her tricks, they'll never be seen again. What she does with them varies from story to story; she might eat them, or maybe keeps them with her forever.
Either way, if you're a man vacationing in the Dominican Republic, or even a lesbian (who knows?), don't go hiking alone.
